What is Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4 in Daily Keno and how to play?

Pick 2, Pick 3 and Pick 4 are daily lottery game tickets that you can use and play when playing Daily Keno.  These additional lottery game tickets give you a chance to play more and win more.

PICK 2

PICK-2 is a daily draw lottery game that gives you a chance to play two of your favourite numbers, ranging from 0 to 9. PICK-2 lottery concept was started in 2012.

• PICK-2 tickets cost $2 per play. You can select any two-digit number from 00 to 99 by selection slip or by asking for a QUICK PICK.
• You can play up to five sets of two numbers on each ticket, whether by QUICK PICK or selection slip, and can play up to 10 draws in advance.
• PICK-2 is expected to pay approximately 58.5% of sales to players. Prize amount you can win is $99 when you get both digits right.
• The PICK-2 numbers are drawn by ball drop using Ryo Catteau ball machines. One ball machine will be loaded with one set of balls numbered from 0 to 9. After a ball is dropped and the digit recorded the ball is reloaded and another drop takes place to create the next digit of the winning number. For PICK-2 there are two ball drops.
• You can purchase these tickets up to 10 draws in a row in advance.
• Also Encore is available to be played with PICK- 2.

PICK-2 Slipless Play

Slipless Play is a more convenient way to play your PICK-2 selection. Slipless Play allows players to choose their numbers for PICK-2 without having to fill out a selection slip. You  will now be able to tell the lottery retailer which numbers you want to play and the retailer can enter the numbers into the lottery terminal for you.

Always verify your ticket after purchase. If there is an error with your Slipless Play selection, let your retailer know right away. As with all draw lottery tickets, Slipless Play selections may be cancelled up to 30 minutes after they have been printed. Notify your retailer immediately if you wish to cancel your ticket.

PICK 3

PICK-3 is a daily draw lottery game that gives you a chance to play three of your favourite numbers, ranging from 0 to 9, either by Straight Play or Box Play. This lotto concept was launched in 2006.

• PICK-3 tickets cost $1, $2, $5 or $10 per play, depending on the amount you want to wager.
• Straight Play is matching all three of the digits in the exact order they’re drawn. Box Play is matching all three digits in any order. If the 3-digit number you select uses the same digit three times (e.g. 111, 222, 333), it’s valid for Straight Play only.
• You can play up to five sets of three numbers on each ticket, whether by Quick Pick or selection slip, and can play up to 10 draws in advance.
• PICK-3 is expected to pay approximately 50% of sales to players.
• The PICK-3 numbers are drawn by ball drop using Ryo Catteau ball machines. One ball machine will be loaded with one set of balls numbered from 0 to 9. After a ball is dropped and the digit recorded the ball is reloaded and another drop takes place to create the next digit of the winning number. For PICK-3 there are three ball drops.

 PICK 4

PICK-4 is a daily draw lottery game that gives players a chance to play four of their favourite numbers, ranging from 0 to 9, either by Straight Play or Box Play. Pick 4 lottery concept was launched in 2006.

PICK-4 tickets cost $1 for each four number combination. Players can select any four-digit number from 0000 to 9999 by selection slip or by asking for a Quick Pick.

Two ways to play include:

1. Straight Play is matching all four digits in straight order like1234.
2. For Box Play, the digits you select determine which Box Play prize category you are eligible for (4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way Box Play) Only one Box Play type will apply per draw.

Box Play gives players the chance to match their four favourite numbers, or QUICK PICK selections, in many ways. For example, if three of the four digits played are the same (eg.1112), the numbers can be combined in four unique ways (eg.1112, 1121, 1211, 2111) This creates a 4-Way Box Play. Similarly, a 6-Way Box Play (2 sets of digits the same e.g. 1122), combines the numbers in six unique ways, a 12-Way Box Play (2 digits the same e.g. 1123) combines the numbers in twelve unique ways and a 24 Way Box Play (4 different digits e.g. 1234) combines the numbers in 24 unique ways. The fewer the possible number of combinations, the greater the prize. Only one Box Play type applies per draw (Refer to PICK-4 Fact Sheet prize structure for more information.)

• You can play up to five sets of four numbers on each ticket, whether by Quick Pick or selection slip, and can play up to 10 draws in advance.
• PICK-4 is expected to pay approximately 50% of sales to players.
• For liability purposes, there are limits to how many unique number selections can be purchased for each draw. OLG will suspend Straight Play and Box Play PICK-4 wagering for any 4-digit number that has exceeded a total potential prize liability of $1 million for any given draw. Wagering will continue to be available for all other Box Play combinations of the suspended number, provided said numbers have not individually exceeded the $1 million total liability limit for Box Play and Straight Play.
• The PICK-4 numbers are drawn by ball drop using the same Ryo Catteau ball machines that we use for PICK-3 and ENCORE. One ball machine will be loaded with one set of balls numbered from 0 to 9. After a ball is dropped and the digit recorded the ball is reloaded and another drop takes place to create the next digit of the winning number. For PICK-3 there are three ball drops. Therefore for PICK-4 there will be four separate ball drops.
• You can purchase Pick 4 up to 10 draws in a row in advance.
• Also Encore is available to be played with PICK- 4.
• With Pick 4 the top prize of $5,000 is available to be won daily.

Pick 2, Pick 3 and Pick 4- Midday Draws

There will be two draws per day for these  lotto games. A second daily ENCORE draw will also be added for these games. A 2 p.m. MIDDAY draw will be added for PICK-2, PICK-3, PICK-4, DAILY KENO and ENCORE only.

The MIDDAY draws will be held shortly after 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) each day. The EVENING draws will be held shortly after 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time). Tickets sold before 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the MIDDAY draw, tickets sold after 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) and until 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the EVENING draw. Tickets purchased after 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the next draw.

The draw date and “MIDDAY” or “EVENING” will be printed on the ticket. When checking to see if you  have won prizes, you should always be sure that your tickets were valid for the MIDDAY and/or the EVENING draw. Tickets sold before 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the MIDDAY draw, tickets sold after 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) and until 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the EVENING draw. Tickets purchased after 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be valid for the next draw.

Similarly the draw date and “MIDDAY” or “EVENING” will be printed on the Encore ticket. When checking to see if they have won prizes, players should always be sure that their tickets were valid for the MIDDAY and/or the EVENING draw. ENCORE sales with a these tickets purchase made before 2 p.m. are valid for the MIDDAY ENCORE draw, and ENCORE sales after 2 p.m. are valid for the EVENING ENCORE draw. Check your ticket to be sure.

Tickets for these lottos  that are sold before 2 p.m. are valid for the MIDDAY draw. Advance Play is available for up to 10 consecutive draws. You can only enter the EVENING draw before 2 p.m. by purchasing an Advance Play ticket for a minimum of two draws.
